HNC - graphics

Some examples of vector graphics - simple shapes and outlines used in posters, packaging and publicity.
Often the graphic shapes are created from a photograph, such as the mountain biker in the Union Canal poster.
The key to this is to make a selection of pixels around a strong shape in a photograph, then use the selection to make a custom shape, or a brush. From there you can apply the brush or shape to make graphic illustrations.
The Scottish Archeaology leaflet uses the shape of the UK and fills it with photographs. The trick to do that is the 'Clipping Mask'...
These samples were photographed on my phone, and this is a good way of gathering research material.
