Behance is a great new site where you can find portfolios of photographers' work. It's a really useful site for doing research for the Higher or the HNC Graded Unit, or for just for finding inspiring photography.
Here, for example, is a set of pictures of underwater larking around by Mark Tipple.

The striking thing about the portfolios is how precise they are: a set of pictures of people under waves, or portraits of faces in a blizzard, or a particular coast resort off-season, or a series on traffic lights in the fog. Very specific, but so much variety in the work. This is how projects are made.
