HNC Location Stock

Photographers who shoot 'stock', take photographs wherever they go. Often that may include travelling. They may plan to visit photographically fruitful and typical locations or iconic views.
They produce work that is technically faultless, great lighting, rich colours and tonal range, high resolution.
The work is submitted to Stock Libraries such as Alamy, Getty, Corbis, 4Corners, Solomango, Loop, Trevillion, New York Times Redux There are strict quality controls applied before a photographer's work is accepted, and every time they put work into the library, it will be checked to see that it is still at the correct technical standard.
The pictures are available for sale, and often will be published in magazines such as the weekend colour magazines of the Sunday Express, The Herald the Observer, especially the travel pages.
A typical and good example is the National Geographic Traveller magazine which shows a lot of high quality stock photographs. They are all of the Balkans region of Southern Europe, and are sourced from agencies like Getty and Solomango and Sime.
The pictures have credits, or bylines, that tell us who took the photograph.
